UNIT 4: SOUND, SOUND LANDSCAPE PROJECT

Objectives:
Technical: To gain a basic understanding of  multi-track audio composition software and to gain experience recording and editing sound.

Conceptual: To explore layering sound as a narrative and expressive devise to transport the audience to subjective "places"and to provoke an emotional response. To practice "active listening".

Overview:
Your challenge is to create and record a completely original sound landscape using sounds from multiple sources (recorded, downloaded...) You can use any imaginable non-instrument noisemakers as well. The piece must be a minimum of two minutes in length, and use at least 5 tracks (or layers) of sound.
